Profile and Mission

The Gilford Schools make up a public school system supported by the community of Gilford, New Hampshire. Our schools provide educational services for almost 1150 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district is comprised of a grade K-4 elementary school, grade 5 - 8 middle school and grade 9 - 12 high school. Students from the neighboring community of Gilmanton also attend our high school. School district services and the Superintendent of School's offices are located at 2 Belknap Mountain Road.

Our district and its staff have earned an outstanding reputation for offering quality programs and an education to students of all ages and abilities. Gilford High School has been accredited by the New England Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges.

The Gilford School District (GSD) aspires to prepare each learner to thrive as an adaptable citizen by providing a rigorous education, while supporting the whole child.  GSD expects our learners to be self-directed and engaged.  We succeed when we each:
          demonstrate critical and creative thinking,
          persevere through challenges and solve problems;
          communicate and collaborate as a learner and community member.
